This is one of my favorite New Order songs, “Regret.”
It’s past 2am, and I’m having a brief moment of wondering if I’ve made all the wrong decisions.
Not sure if I’m in school for the right reasons or preparing for a career that’s right for me.
What can you do about regret?

This Nick Lowe classic is one of my all-time favorite songs. I saw him live a few years ago. Graham Parker opened for him and blew my mind. He played one song called “Pollinate” that I’ve been searching for since, but can’t find it anywhere. Sometimes I hear it in my dreams.
Funny how a guy can write such a moving song and also come out with songs like “Socks ‘N’ Sandals.” Go figure.
I’m sitting in the New York Public Library desperately trying to study amongst smelly tourists and a Korean nerd who will not stop shouting on his phone. I put on some old school Elvis Costello to keep me focused, but now I just want to jump up on the table and start belting out the words to “Peace Love and Understanding” (and kicking the phone out of that dude’s hand).
